What belongs in a clothing tag and label set?
Start by separating what shoppers see before purchase from what needs to remain on the garment afterwards.
Hang tag + string
Shopper-facing and removed after purchase. Use it for your brand story, price, SKU and barcode.
Woven + care + size labels
Sewn into the garment. Use them for brand identity, fibre, care, origin and size.
Which clothing tag and label set should I start with?
Choose the closest starting point. The components can be adjusted after we review your garment, artwork and quantities.

Fast Launch

Why choose it: Adds more texture and finish detail to the complete set.
Custom attachments and special finishes may need a paid physical sample and extra approval time.
What should I know about MOQ, samples and production time?
These four facts help you decide whether the order fits your plan. The project photos below will help you judge finish, assembly and packing quality.
100 pcs
Standard MOQ for hang tags, woven labels, size labels, care labels and standard strings.
1,000 pcs
Custom string MOQ for strings made beyond the standard options.
About 7–10 days
A custom physical sample is optional, paid and non-refundable. Existing samples are free; you cover shipping.
15–20 working days
Bulk production is usually within this range. Your confirmed schedule depends on quantity and complexity.
Can you assemble, sort and pack the complete set?
Yes. Choose only the services your order needs, and we will include them in the quote.
Keep colors consistent on reorders
We keep the approved color and material references for your next order.
Receive tags with strings attached
We can attach the strings and pack each finished piece individually.
Keep sizes and SKUs sorted
We can separate variants and pack several label types for shipment together.
Add unique codes and scan checks
We can generate, print or inkjet unique codes, then check every code or an agreed sample.
How do I choose materials that look consistent as one set?
Start with the look you want for the hang tag. Then choose a label texture and string that feel like the same brand.

Choose the paper first.
Coated · Specialty · Kraft · Black card
Choose by print detail, color depth and the tactile feel you want.

Choose one main finish.
Foil · Emboss / deboss · Eyelet · Spot UV
One main finish keeps the set easier to match than several competing effects.

Care labels
Satin / polyester · Cotton · Nylon · Printed or woven
Compare these details across the set: Color family · sheen · texture · logo detail · garment feel
What information should go on each tag and label?
Put temporary selling information on the hang tag and keep brand, care and size information on the garment.

How can my hang tags, woven labels and strings look like one set?
Use the same overall contrast, texture and main color. The materials do not need to be identical to feel like the same brand.
Clean & Modern
White · charcoal · cool gray
Hang tag
Smooth white or lightly coated paper with clear contrast.
Woven label
A simplified logo that stays clear at a small size.
String
Fine black, white or subtle tone-on-tone cord.
What to consider
This direction keeps barcodes clear, but feels less textured than uncoated or specialty paper.
Natural & Tactile
Kraft · cream · olive
Hang tag
Uncoated, kraft or softly textured paper.
Woven label
Warm neutral yarns with a softer woven appearance.
String
Cotton, jute-look or another muted natural cord.
What to consider
Texture supports a handmade look, but small print, white ink and barcodes need extra testing.
Editorial & Refined
Burgundy · warm gold · deep brown
Hang tag
Dark or layered paper with one carefully placed finish.
Woven label
Dense-looking weave, simple colors and fewer tiny details.
String
Waxed cord or a custom attachment detail.
What to consider
This look adds depth, but may need more sampling and approval time.
Can the same brand color look identical on paper, thread and string?
Not always. Paper, woven thread and string reflect light differently, so the same color reference can look different on each material. The goal is one consistent color family—not an unrealistic promise of a perfect match.
1 · Choose one item as the color reference
Decide whether the hang tag, woven label or another approved item should lead the color comparison.
2 · Use one main color
Support it with simple neutral colors instead of trying to match several colors exactly across different materials.
3 · Compare real samples together
View the paper, thread and string under the same light and beside the garment—not on separate screens.
4 · Keep approved samples for reorders
Save the chosen materials, physical samples, artwork versions and color notes for the next order.
Aim for one color family—not a false promise of a perfect match.
Compare the complete set together while allowing paper, thread and string to keep their natural appearance.
Flat ink on paper
Light broken by the weave
Curved textured surface
Does each SKU need one barcode—or does every item need a unique code?
First decide whether the same code repeats within one SKU or every item receives a different code. Each option needs a different data file and scan-check plan.
Will the barcode scan on the paper you choose?
One barcode per SKU. Black bars on a white background give the clearest scan. On dark, metallic or textured paper, leave a clean light panel and test the printed tag.
Do you need a unique QR or serial code on every item?
We can generate the unique data, add it by printing or inkjet coding, and scan either every code or an agreed sample.
Tell us the code format, information to include, placement and how many codes you want checked.
What happens after I send my artwork and order details?
You receive a digital proof before production. If you need to check the actual material, finish or attachment first, you can also order a paid physical sample.
1 · Share your project
Send the garment type, chosen set or components, artwork, quantities and destination.
2 · Receive a quote and digital proof
Review the size, material, artwork layout and any details that are still undecided.
3 · Decide whether you need a physical sample
Existing samples are free and you pay the freight. A custom physical sample is optional, paid, non-refundable and takes about 7–10 days.
4 · Approve the final details
Confirm the proof or sample, quantities by variant, string assembly and packing needs.
5 · Production and checks
Bulk production usually takes 15–20 working days. Your confirmed schedule depends on quantity and complexity.
If your files are not production-ready, check our artwork design guide for accepted formats, outlined fonts and bleed requirements.
When is a physical sample useful?
A digital proof may be enough for a straightforward order. Consider a physical sample when you need to check the material, finish, attachment, small woven details or barcode scanning before production.
What can go wrong when tags, labels and strings are planned separately?
Most mismatches come from three decisions that were made without comparing the complete set.
01 · Using the same artwork everywhere
Small printed details can disappear when the logo is woven with thread.
02 · Choosing the paper before the string
The wrong hole size, string weight or position can pull or bend the finished tag.
03 · Approving each item on a separate screen
Digital previews do not show how the real paper, thread and string will look together.
When is it useful to order the full set from one supplier?
- You are launching several custom components together.
- You want to compare the paper, thread and string together.
- Several sizes or SKUs need to be sorted correctly.
- You want approved colors and samples saved for reorders.
The benefit is fewer separate instructions and a clearer approval process—not a promise that different materials will look perfectly identical.
When might you only need one item?
- You need only one urgent stock size label.
- Your garment factory is already coordinating and approving every label and trim.
- A standardized item is more important than custom detail.
Every additional custom item needs its own artwork, quantity and approval. Add it only when it improves the garment or retail presentation.
What should I send to get a useful quote?
You do not need every technical answer. Choose the closest starter set and send the four details opposite; we can help you confirm what is still undecided.
You can leave undecided details open in your first message.
Send these four details to start

Product type, selling channel and destination.
02 · Set
Components needed—or a starter set number.
03 · Brand
Logo files, colors and any visual references.
04 · Order
Quantity by variant, target date and delivery country.
Clothing Tags & Labels FAQ
A practical starting set is a hang tag with its string, a woven brand label and a care label. Add a separate size label when customers or packing teams need to find sizes quickly. The exact set depends on the garment, how it will be sold and the destination market.
They should belong to the same visual family, but exact appearance cannot be assumed because paper, ink, woven thread and cord respond to light differently. Use one physical color reference, define acceptable supporting neutrals, and approve the materials together beside the garment.
Yes. We can review the sizes, artwork, colors and string attachment as one set. Before quoting, confirm the components you need, quantities, sample preference and any assembly or packing requirements.
Choose the hang tag paper by the look you want and the information it must carry. Smooth light paper is a practical choice for small text and barcodes. Uncoated or kraft paper creates a more natural look but may reduce print contrast. Dark or specialty paper can add depth, but usually needs more print and sample testing.
They serve different jobs. A woven label provides durable brand identity, while a care-and-content label carries practical and market-required information. They may be combined only when the layout, material, comfort, sewing construction and applicable labeling rules still work.
Send a vector logo file when possible and convert fonts to outlines. The printed hang tag file should include bleed, while the woven version may need fewer small details so the logo stays clear in thread. Also confirm the finished size, fold, sew allowance, hole position, barcode area and each size or SKU version.
Not every order requires a physical sample. You receive a digital proof before production. Existing samples are free and you cover shipping; an optional custom physical sample is paid, non-refundable and takes about 7–10 days. Choose based on how closely you need to check the material, finish, attachment or barcode scanning.
The MOQ is 100 pieces for hang tags, woven labels, size labels, care labels and standard strings. Custom strings start at 1,000 pieces. Each component, design, color and size variant is counted separately, so quantities from different variants or components in one set cannot be combined.
Bulk production usually takes 15–20 working days, depending on quantity and order details. Large quantities, complex finishes and orders with unique QR or serial codes need a separately confirmed schedule.
Share the garment type, how it will be sold, the components you need, artwork, colors, quantities by design or size, barcode or SKU data, sample preference, assembly or packing needs, destination and target date. If something is undecided, tell us in your first message.
